Starry Night: I like this painting because of the method used while painting. The photo is made up of brush strokes going in the direction of the object being created and it seems aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The pattern of the sky is closely blended together to get every shade of blue in the night sky. Van Gogh's dimness of the night sky shows his quest to overcome his illness. The village is painted with dark colors but the brightly lit windows create a sense of comfort.
